Never thought I would be a fan of MQA tracks, it sounded like complete snake oil nonsense when I first heard about it. MQA without unfolding usually is a higher frequency than 48Khz already though.I still need to compare using regular tracks and high resolution ones, maybe DSD as well. Yes, the test I did was with MQA on the DC01 as well, because the mastering is different. The only thing I can think of is that it relays the 3D sound cues that exist in the original audio better. I don't think the Ztella specifically does anything to achieve this. I've bought a lot of audio stuff over the past 18 months and the BTR5 feels like the best value by far. You're welcome! The 3D sounding soundstage is normally a difference I'd expect between different headphones, I wasn't expecting to have this difference between different DAC/Amps. This has never actually happened, I may be being overly cautious. If I was going to use it like this regularly I would find a way to stick it to the back of my phone case as I think the device's weight and bulk may cause it to detach from the phone. Again it sounds great and functions how it should. When I want to listen to something that seems worth playing at a higher sample rate I use it as a usb dac and use UAPP to play music from Qobuz. It has a 3.5mm and a 2.5mm balanced socket. It has plenty of power for IEMs and most headphones. I bought it a year ago and use it daily until the battery runs out which is about 9 hours, it can be used while charging. I stream music to it from my phone using LDAC, not lossless or hi-res but it sounds great. I use a Fiio BTR5 for almost all my listening despite my intention to only use it while out and about. It can power low sensitivity IEMs to a volume louder than I listen. Works perfectly, a bargain at £24gbp on Amazon. Mine uses a Cirrus Logic dac chip, it is the Meizu masterhifi dongle. I have a usb dac that looks almost identical. I thought I had not heard of the Zorloo but I remembered I saw a review of it on YouTube.
